Dear Neighbor,
Today marks the one year anniversary of the horrific terrorist attack by Hamas on the people of Israel.
We sit with the grief and mourning of the Jewish people in Israel and across our city and world in this painful time and the tragic loss of life and suffering they have endured. We sit with the grief and mourning of Palestinians and the tragic loss of life and suffering they have endured.
We pray for a safe and swift return of the hostages. We pray for a peaceful end to the war. We pray for aid and hope for the people of the region.
During the season of the High Holidays, this anniversary is especially challenging. The District is committed to safety around our places of worship and across our city and will stay vigilant so all neighbors can worship peacefully.
