Councilmember Pinto's Indigenous Peoples' Day message

Councilmember Brooke Pinto released the following statement in response to the recent U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development assessment of the DC Housing Authority.

The Office of Councilmember Brooke Pinto is seeking a Communications and Community Coordinator to assist in sharing the Councilmember’s priorities and community activities with the public through social media platforms, newsletter, and website.

Councilmember Pinto introduced an amendment to the Office of Migrant Services bill to clarify eligibility, prioritize how families may be sheltered in private & safe units - not congregate settings, set health and safety standards, and ensure due process rights are enshrined and protected.

As we head into Labor Day weekend, I want to thank District workers who work hard every single day to ensure our city thrives. I want to share my work to protect workers and keep the District as a great place to do business, back to school updates, and important changes to Council emails.
