Today is the last day to vote in the Primary Election and I hope you join me in making your voice heard! Election Day Vote Centers are open until 8 p.m. tonight. If you choose to vote in person today, plan ahead! Bring water, snacks, and a mask, and dress comfortably.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth and Father’s Day! I want to wish everyone a Happy Juneteenth and wish all the fathers, grandfathers, stepdads and father figures in our lives a Happy Father’s Day!

On Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 1:14 PM, Ward 2 Councilmember Brooke Pinto will join the ceremony to designate New Hampshire Avenue NW between Virginia Ave. NW and F St. NW as “Jamal Khashoggi Way” in front of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, located at 601 New Hampshire Ave NW.

It was great to see so many neighbors recently at Bike to Work Day Downtown, Open Streets on 7th Street in Shaw, the Alley Party in Logan Circle, and the Friends of Volta Park annual gathering in Georgetown!

I invite you to join me for Open Streets on 7th Street NW on June 4th any time from 9 am – 3 pm at 7th and Q Street NW! 7th Street NW, between Florida Avenue NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW will be closed to vehicle traffic and open for fun events throughout the day.
